A New Zealand doe around one year old is a fully mature female rabbit weighing about 10-12 pounds. She has a broad, muscular body, upright ears, and dense fur that comes in white, black, blue, or broken patterns. At this age she is in her prime for breeding and can produce litters of 8-12 kits after a 31 day gestation. These does are generally docile and friendly, making them good mothers with the proper care.
